City of Arlington — Mayor Council form of Government -Return to in person July 6, 2021. The in -person meetings <br />will continue to be streamed/recorded on the City's YouTube channel for viewing, no longer offering Zoom <br />participation for the public. They may make a public comment in person or in writing. Zoom will be available on <br />occasion to Councilmembers unable to attend in person. <br />City of Auburn Mayor Council Form of Government. At large. Currently in discussion regarding in person <br />meetings. Best case scenario, probably in the Fall. Planning a slow roll, following L and I guidelines. 80 <br />percent in King 20 percent in Pierce County, often conflicting guidelines. Have received a lot of push back on <br />wearing masks or vaccination. Boards and commissions stay remote status. Kind of Hybrid announced, bringing <br />staff back by July 6. I.T. can't support bringing all employees back at once so some will remain remotely until <br />possibly 2022. No public participation, mail, or email comments only. Clerk tries to provide all written comments <br />to Council members 2 weeks in advance. No plans to allow any type of public participation platform. Council <br />comments at the end of meeting. <br />City of Bellingham (1st Class) Mayor Council Form of Government. Districts. Meets twice a month. public <br />comment guidelines (PDF) Currently has a general comment pilot project. (ex. attached.) Looking to return in <br />September. Council takes hiatus for 3 weeks in August. (schedule determined by Council of which 3 weeks off). <br />Discussions currently around Hybrid model. You must register to use ZOOM with speaker's name listed on <br />bottom of picture while they speak. Public comment Guidelines (see pdf above) were developed after speakers <br />were using inappropriate language and emojis when they spoke for example regarding defund police etc. <br />marched on council members and mayors' home in protest. Council wants to be sure they have provided all <br />access to community before they open their gallery for in person participation. Televised meetings. No edit of <br />meetings unless in appropriate language is used. If that occurs that part of the sound is edited. (bleeped out) <br />Mayor and Council comments follow Public comment to be sensitive to the community's time and interest and in <br />some cases provided an opportunity for Mayor or council to correct statement or comment made by a community <br />member. <br />City of Federal Way Mayor Council Form of Government. At large. Meets twice a month. Will return to in person <br />meetings on July 6, 2021. Looking to continue to allow public participation via Zoom as well as in person but will <br />be experimenting this new model during the committee meetings before allowing at the regular council meeting. <br />Live stream, YouTube, web streaming in their entirety, no editing. Public comment allowed on any item but <br />encouraged to register to speak 2 hours before the meeting. Have allowed public to speak even though they did <br />not sign up. All Council and staff must participate in person. Remote participation not allowed except as <br />described above from the public. Committee Reports top of agenda. Mayor and Council Reports such as <br />attending event etc. at bottom of agenda. <br />City of Kent - Mayor Council Form of Government. At large. 2 meetings a month, 1 and 3 Tuesday. Council <br />committee meetings separate. Returning to in -person on July 6, 2021. Will continue to allow public comment via <br />remote, Zoom option due to Governor Proclamation. Will no longer allow public comment once it is lifted. This <br />will be the first meeting allowing both Zoom, you must register by 4 p.m. the date of the meeting, and in person, <br />you can sign in when you arrive.
