I 1 Completion Date 2 The day all the Work specified in the Contract is completed and all the obligations of 3 the Contractor under the contract are fulfilled by the Contractor. All documentation 4 required by the Contract and required by law must be furnished by the Contractor I5 before establishment of this date. 6 Final Acceptance Date 7 The date on which the Contracting Agency accepts the Work as complete. I 8 9 Supplement this Section with the following: 10 11 All references in the Standard Specifications, Amendments, or WSDOT General Special 12 Provisions, to the terms "Department of Transportation", "Washington State 13 Transportation Commission", "Commission", "Secretary of Transportation", "Secretary", I 14 "Headquarters", and "State Treasurer" shall be revised to read "Contracting Agency". 15 16 All references to the terms "State" or"state" shall be revised to read "Contracting 17 Agency" unless the reference is to an administrative agency of the State of Washington, 18 a State statute or regulation, or the context reasonably indicates otherwise. 19 20 All references to "State Materials Laboratory" shall be revised to read "Contracting I 21 Agency designated location". 22 23 All references to "final contract voucher certification" shall be interpreted to mean the I 24 Contracting Agency form(s) by which final payment is authorized, and final completion 25 and acceptance granted. 26 I 27 Additive 28 A supplemental unit of work or group of bid items, identified separately in the Bid 29 Proposal, which may, at the discretion of the Contracting Agency, be awarded in addition I 30 to the base bid. 31 32 Alternate 33 One of two or more units of work or groups of bid items, identified separately in the Bid I 34 Proposal, from which the Contracting Agency may make a choice between different 35 methods or material of construction for performing the same work. 36 111 37 Business Day 38 A business day is any day from Monday through Friday except holidays as listed in 39 Section 1-08.5.
