d) Installing a motor actuated gate on the combined sewer pipe exiting the flow control <br /> structure to the 17th Street Interceptor to actively divert combined sewage to the <br /> Grand Avenue Pedestrian Bridge. <br /> 2. Identify potential permanent flow sensing devices to be used for real time control of the <br /> Port Gardner Pump Stations or motor actuated gates. <br /> 3. Summarize the control strategies in a technical memorandum. <br /> 4. Present alternatives in a half day (4 hour)workshop with the City. <br /> Client Responsibilities <br /> 1. City will review and provide comments with two weeks of receipt of the draft Control <br /> Strategy TM. <br /> Assumptions <br /> 1. Diversions of storm water or combined sewage to the Grand Avenue Pedestrian Bridge <br /> assumes that conveyance piping for both flows are extended to the Port Gardner <br /> Storage Facility such that storm water treatment requirements are achieved and <br /> combined sewer overflow frequencies are maintained at less than one event per year. <br /> 2. Control strategy review workshop will be held via Cisco WebEx(or another web-based <br /> meeting platform). <br /> 3. Up to four(4) HDR staff will participate in the alternatives workshop . Up to four(4) hours <br /> will be required by each staff member in attendance including preparation, attendance, <br /> follow-up, and notes. <br /> Deliverables <br /> 1. Draft control strategy technical memorandum(PDF format). <br /> 2. Final control strategy technical memorandum(PDF format). <br /> Task 500 — Cost Estimation <br /> Task Objective <br /> Develop an Opinion of Probable Construction Costs(OPCC) estimates for selected alternative <br /> projects. <br /> Consultant Services <br /> 1. Prepare and provide AACE opinions of probable construction costs for the interceptor <br /> improvements and physical improvements for implementing control strategies. <br /> 2.
