13. All rooms shall be labeled with a unique name,such as "Kitchen#1" and "Kitchen#2", "Bathroom <br /> #1, Bathroom#2, "Living Room#1"and "Basement Living Room"etc. <br /> 14. All stairs are required to have a 36" landing measured in the direction of travel.The door at the <br /> bottom of the stairs shall be removed. <br /> 15. Provide a section drawing specific to this structure for the following locations, <br /> -The wall between the garage and Bedroom#7 (5-1/2" min depth is required for R-21 insulation). <br /> -Section at below grade walls showing insulation requirements, P.T. bottom plate and fireblocking <br /> (Horiz&Vert) <br /> -Section at proposed ramp to include construction, handrail and guardrail attachment and <br /> placement. <br /> -Provide detail for flashing and waterproofing at the proposed deck. <br /> -Provide section at the proposed window well to clearly define the construction and depth of the <br /> structure.Specify minimum dimensions for the window well on the plan view(s). <br /> 16. Provide 1-3/8"solid core wood door with self-closer between the garage and the dwelling,show on <br /> plans. <br /> 17. If the man-door accessing the garage swings over the landing into the garage the landing in the <br /> garage is required to be not more than 1-1/2 inches below the top of the threshold.Show <br /> requirement on plans. <br /> 18. Provide Guard at the landing and stairs in the garage. <br /> 19. Show the required handrail on all stairs and/or ramps. <br /> 20. There is a room shown on the 1st Floor Plan adjacent to Bedroom#3 (between the entry closet and <br /> bedroom)that is not labeled.The floor area of this space appears to be less than 70 square feet(the <br /> minimum room size for a habitable space). Label this space for its intended uninhabitable use. <br /> 21. The basement floor plan shows the furred wall behind the stove and the furred walls under the <br /> window openings in Bedroom 4&5 as interrupted. Insulation is required to be continuous at all of <br /> these locations. Please revise plans. <br /> 22. Guards shall be constructed such that a sphere,4 inches in diameter,cannot pass through any <br /> opening.The plans show a 4"opening,which would allow the passage of a 4 inch sphere, please <br /> correct. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue,it will be necessary to provide the Building Division <br /> with two new sets of revised construction documents reflecting the corrections requested. Please include a <br /> response letter which indicates how the corrections were resolved. <br /> All codes cited refer to the 2015 International Building Code(IBC),2015 International Residential Code(IRC), <br /> and/or the 2015 Washington State Residential Energy Code(WSEC), as amended by the State of Washington <br /> and adopted by the City of Everett. <br /> These comments address building issues only.
