2-2.3 Traffic Control Plans and Detour Routes <br /> The Consultant will prepare traffic control plans as part of the development of design Plans for the <br /> preferred alternative. Traffic control plans will follow the standards and requirements of the City of Everett, <br /> WSDOT and the MUTCD. Site-specific traffic control plans will be provided for all improvements, aligned <br /> with the requirements for Federally-funded projects. <br /> The Consultant will participate in one (1) meeting, arranged by the City, with the Everett Police and Fire <br /> Departments to present conceptual traffic control plans and detour routes and gather feedback. <br /> Traffic Control Plans and detour routes will be designed on Plan sheets consistent with the approach <br /> outlined in Task 2-2. The plans for traffic control and detours will be included in the plan sets submitted as <br /> part of Tasks 2-2 and 2-7. <br /> The specifics of the routes, necessity of detours and limits of traffic control will be dependent on the <br /> preferred alternative selected in Phase 1. <br /> 2-2.4 Utility Coordination <br /> The Consultant will assist the City with coordination with City-provided and franchise utilities affected by <br /> the preferred alternative. The Consultant will identify affected franchise utilities as identified in the original <br /> survey provided by the City and any supplemental survey gathered in Task 2-3. The Consultant will assist <br /> the City in providing the needed information on the depth, width and scope of project elements that may <br /> affect utilities and require relocation of aerial or underground utilities. The Consultant will assist the City in <br /> communicating and coordinating relocation schedules for utilities to ensure there are not undue delays in <br /> the construction of the Project. <br /> The Consultant will identify utilities and indicate relocation on the Plan sheets developed in Tasks 2-2 and <br /> 2-7. The City will provide utility design services for relocated water utilities, including hydrants. <br /> The specifics of utilities that may be affected by the Project will be dependent on the preferred alternative <br /> selected in Phase 1. <br /> 2-2.5 WSDOT Channelization Plan <br /> The Consultant shall update the channelization plan for approval for the corridor segment between Maple <br /> Street, the southbound 1-5 ramp, Hewitt Ave, and the US 2 Eastbound Ramp intersection. The latest <br /> version of the Northwest Region Intersection/Channelization Plan for Approval Checklist will be utilized. <br /> Comments from the City and WSDOT on the Plan from Phase 1 will be addressed and incorporated into <br /> the channelization plan, and resubmitted to WSDOT for approval. Any additional review submittals <br /> required by WSDOT beyond the one described above shall be considered extra services. Once WSDOT <br /> has given their approval, one final full-sized reproducible Mylar set for WSDOT's record copy, if required, <br /> will be produced. <br /> Consultant Deliverables <br /> • Draft WSDOT Channelization Plan for Approval (1 iterations) <br /> • Mylar plans for WSDOT(if required) <br /> • Final signed WSDOT Channelization Plan for Approval <br /> Task 2-3 Supplemental Survey and Right of Way <br /> The Consultant has received survey data from the City as part of the project kickoff(Phase 1). Depending <br /> on the preferred alternative selected in Phase 1, additional survey may be required to complete the <br /> design in Phase 2.
