The Mayor <br />recommends confirmation of the re -appointment of Sharon Rice, who has been providing <br />pro tem services to the City since 2007 and has been the contracted Hearing Examiner <br />since 2017. Sharon is well respected in the profession and staff highly recommend <br />continuing to contract for her services. <br />This appointment is for a four-year term as per Chapter 2.23 of the Everett Municipal <br />Code. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Concur with the Mayor's re -appointment of the Hearing Examiner and authorize the Mayor <br />to sign Amendment #1 to the Personal Services Contract with Sharon Rice as the Land Use <br />and Code Enforcement Hearing Examiner for a term of four years beginning August 1, <br />2021. <br />
