1 (c ) All water distributing systems shall be protected <br /> from water hammer by the installation of air chambers <br /> 2 or approved water hammer arresters. <br /> 3 (d) On domestic water heater installations dialectric <br /> fittings shall be used between dissimilar metals. <br /> 4 <br /> (e) Inspection. No water piping system or part <br /> 5 thereof, shall be covered or concealed until it has <br /> first been inspected and approved by the Administrative <br /> 6 Authority. <br /> 7 (f) Testing. Before such approval, both hot and <br /> cold water piping shall be subjected to a full working <br /> 8 water pressure test from the street main or other <br /> source of supply, or to an air pressure of not less <br /> 9 than fifty (50) pounds per square inch for not less <br /> than fifteen (15) minutes. Piping must not leak when <br /> 10 subjected to such test, " <br /> 11 SECTION 23: That Chapter 11, Section 1101, of the Uniform <br /> Plumbing Cbae as herein adopted, is hereby amended to read as <br /> 12 follows : <br /> 13 "Sec. 1101 -- Sewer Required <br /> 14 (a) Every building in which plumbing fixtures are <br /> installed, and every premises having drainage piping <br /> 15 thereon, shall have a connection to a public or private <br /> sewer, except as provided in Section 320 and in sub- <br /> 16 sections (b) and (d) of this section. <br /> 17 (b) When no public sewer, intended to serve any lot <br /> or premises, is available in any thoroughfare or right <br /> 18 of way abutting such lot or premises, drainage piping <br /> from any building or works shall be connected to an <br /> 19 approved private sewage disposal system. <br /> 20 (c ) Within the limits prescribed by subsection (d) <br /> hereof, the rearrangement or subdivision into smaller <br /> 21 parcels of a lot which abuts and is served by a public <br /> sewer shall not be deemed cause to permit the construction <br /> 22 of a private sewage disposal system, and all plumbing <br /> or drainage systems on any such smaller parcel or <br /> 23 parcels shall connect to the public sewer. <br /> 24 (d) The public sewer may be considered as not being <br /> available when such public sewer or any building or <br /> 25 any exterior drainage facility connected thereto, is <br /> located more than three hundred (300) feet from any <br /> 26 proposed building or exterior drainage facility on any <br /> lot or premises which abuts and is served by such <br /> 27 public sewer. <br /> 28 (e ) No permit shall be issued for the installation, <br /> alteration or repair of any private sewage disposal <br /> 29 system or part thereof, on any lot for which a con- <br /> nection with a public sewer is available. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 (f) On every lot or premises hereafter connected to <br /> a public sewer, all plumbing and drainage systems or <br /> parts thereof, on such lot or premises shall be <br /> 32 connected with such public sewer. <br />
