► 41111M=MOOM <br /> • <br /> 1 For vacuum breakers or backflow protective <br /> devices on tanks, vats, etc. , or for in- <br /> 2 stallation on unprotected plumbing fixtures <br /> including necessary water piping--one (1 ) <br /> 3 to five (5) $1.00 <br /> Over five (5) - each .25 <br /> 4 For installation, alteration or repair of <br /> water piping and/or water treating equip- <br /> 5 ment 31.00 <br /> 6 Disposals, basement sumps, floor drains, funnel drains, <br /> safe wastes and air gap devices shall be considered as <br /> 7 fixtures. <br /> 8 SECTION 4: That Part 2, Sec. 2.4 is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows : <br /> 9 <br /> "Sec. 2.4 -- Board of Plumber Examiners <br /> 10 <br /> The Board of Plumber Examiners shall be under the <br /> 11 jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Public Works <br /> and shall consist of four (4) members : one (1) <br /> 12 qualified Plumbing Contractor, one (1) qualified <br /> Journeyman Plumber and one (1) qualified member from <br /> 13 the public at large. The Chief Plumbing Inspector <br /> shall be an ex officio member of the Board and shall <br /> 14 be its Secretary and keep its records. All members <br /> of the Board shall be appointed by the Commissioner <br /> 15 of Public Works and shall serve for three years, and <br /> may be reappointed, unless removed for malfeasance <br /> 16 in office, neglect of duty or incapacity. " <br /> 17 SECTION 5 : That Part 2, Sec. 2.5, is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows : <br /> 18 <br /> "Sec. 2.5 -- Duties of the Board of Plumber Examiners <br /> 19 <br /> (a) The Board of Plumber Examiners shall issue <br /> 20 Plumber ' s Certificates of Qualification or Registration <br /> to such persons as may be entitled thereto, and conduct <br /> 21 examinations for the purpose of determining the <br /> competency and knowledge of plumbing and drainage work <br /> 22 of persons who are required by this code to take such <br /> examination. The Board of Examiners shall determine <br /> 23 the character of the examination to be given any <br /> applicant and by majority vote accept or reject such <br /> 24 applicant upon his showing as the case may be. <br /> 25 (b) It shall be the duty of the Board to act as a <br /> Board of Appeals in making a correct determination <br /> 26 of any appeal arising from actions of the Administrative <br /> Authority. <br /> 27 <br /> (c ) Said boards shall keep an accurate record of all <br /> 28 their official transactions and render such reports <br /> and statistics as the Department having jurisdiction <br /> 29 may require and direct. <br /> 30 (d) Said Board shall elect annually, a Chairman from <br /> the members who shall preside at all meetings. They <br /> 31 shall adopt such rules and regulations as they see fit <br /> for the proper and efficient discharge of their <br /> 32 official duties. <br />
