► 41111M=MOOM • 1 For vacuum breakers or backflow protective devices on tanks, vats, etc. , or for in- 2 stallation on unprotected plumbing fixtures including necessary water piping--one (1 ) 3 to five (5) $1.00 Over five (5) - each .25 4 For installation, alteration or repair of water piping and/or water treating equip- 5 ment 31.00 6 Disposals, basement sumps, floor drains, funnel drains, safe wastes and air gap devices shall be considered as 7 fixtures. 8 SECTION 4: That Part 2, Sec. 2.4 is hereby amended to read as follows : 9 "Sec. 2.4 -- Board of Plumber Examiners 10 The Board of Plumber Examiners shall be under the 11 jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Public Works and shall consist of four (4) members : one (1) 12 qualified Plumbing Contractor, one (1) qualified Journeyman Plumber and one (1) qualified member from 13 the public at large. The Chief Plumbing Inspector shall be an ex officio member of the Board and shall 14 be its Secretary and keep its records. All members of the Board shall be appointed by the Commissioner 15 of Public Works and shall serve for three years, and may be reappointed, unless removed for malfeasance 16 in office, neglect of duty or incapacity. " 17 SECTION 5 : That Part 2, Sec. 2.5, is hereby amended to read as follows : 18 "Sec. 2.5 -- Duties of the Board of Plumber Examiners 19 (a) The Board of Plumber Examiners shall issue 20 Plumber ' s Certificates of Qualification or Registration to such persons as may be entitled thereto, and conduct 21 examinations for the purpose of determining the competency and knowledge of plumbing and drainage work 22 of persons who are required by this code to take such examination. The Board of Examiners shall determine 23 the character of the examination to be given any applicant and by majority vote accept or reject such 24 applicant upon his showing as the case may be. 25 (b) It shall be the duty of the Board to act as a Board of Appeals in making a correct determination 26 of any appeal arising from actions of the Administrative Authority. 27 (c ) Said boards shall keep an accurate record of all 28 their official transactions and render such reports and statistics as the Department having jurisdiction 29 may require and direct. 30 (d) Said Board shall elect annually, a Chairman from the members who shall preside at all meetings. They 31 shall adopt such rules and regulations as they see fit for the proper and efficient discharge of their 32 official duties.
