1 (e) Said Board shall determine and pass upon the suitability of alternate materials, types of con- 2 struction, matters pertaining to plumbing practice, and incase of appeal, supply a reasonable inter- 3 pretation of the provisions of this Code. 4 SECTION 6: That there is hereby added to Part 2 of the Uniform Plumbing Code herein adopted a Sec. 2.12 which shall 5 read as follows : 6 "Sec. 2.12 -- License required 7 (a) Before any person, firm, partnership or corp- oration shall carry on, or engage in the business 8 of plumbing, he or it shall first procure a Master Plumber' s, License and pay to the City Treasurer the 9 annual license fee imposed on such business. 10 (b) No Master Plumber 's License shall be issued to any person unless such person possesses a valid 11 Master Plumber ' s Certificate of Qualification, pro- vided however, that a Master Plumber ' s License may be 12 issued to any person, firm, partnership or corporation who make application for such license by or through 13 a bona fide member or authorized agent thereof, who possesses a valid Master Plumber ' s Certificate of 14 Qualification. 15 (c) Whenever a Master Plumber ' s License has been issued to any person, firm, partnership or corporation 16 pursuant to the provisions of subsection (b) hereof, such member or authorized agent, or some other member 17 or authorized agent or employee possessing a valid Master Plumber 's Certificate of Qualification shall 18 at all times be in actual charge and control of all plumbing done or to be done by such person, firm, 19 partnership or corporation. 20 (d) Before any Master Plumber' s License shall be issued or renewed, the applicant therefor shall pay 21 $35.00 in advance to the City Treasurer. If application for license is for operation after July 1, 22 the fee for the balance of the year shall be $17.50. 23 (e ) All Master Plumber' s Licenses shall expire on the 31st day of December of each year unless sooner 24 revoked. " 25 SECTION 7: That there is hereby added to Part 2 of the Uniform Plumbing Code herein adopted a Sec. 2.13 which shall 26 read as follows : 27 "Sec. 2.13 -- Journeyman Plumber' s License Required 28 Before any person shall engage in or labor at the trade of Journeyman Plumber he shall first procure 29 a Journeyman Plumber' s License and pay in advance to the City Treasurer the annual license fee as set 30 forth in Section 2.10 of this ordinance. 31 No Journeyman Plumber ' s License shall be issued to any person unless such person possesses a valid 32 Journeyman Plumber's Certificate of Qualification.
