File
f.
rR6r Joe Kozlovski
DATE January 19, 1976
SVR.IECT CASCADE SAVINGS & LOAN
ASSOCIATION CONSTRUG'PION
Page Two
C.
CITY OF EVERETT. EVERETT. WASHINGTON
requirements for covered walkways lighted and protected from
traffic. The result cf conversation was that Mr. Newland would
file an application for the use of public right-of-way during this
demolition -construction period for the use of sidewalks and the
parking strips.
4. Jack Requa indicated that there is presently need for five buses
on that side of Hewitt and the need would continue throughout
the demolition -construction period. He indicated that there is a
possibility that one bus could be moved to the other side of
Hewitt as a temporary measure during this period. Whenever
Mr. Newland's application is submitted he will provide a drawing
of the area he would like to use in construction and at that time
Mr. Requa could then judge what effect the application would
have on his bus stop operation.
5. Mr. Newland indicated' that the plans do not call for any side-
walk demolition on either Colby or Hewitt Avenue and he felt
that there was no responsibility of the owner to replace my
sidewalks unless damage occurred to the present walks during
the demolition -construction process. Mr. Ochlert stressed that
construction offered opportunity for the owner to get a new
sidewalk on Hewitt and that they should be encouraged to con-
sider this as part of their construction program. It was deter-
mined that both Mr. Oehlert and I would contact John Bryant,
the architect to make this as a recommendation to the client.
Meeting ended at 11:00 a.m.
cc: All participants
ei
