b. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the City or Contractor's Pro <br /> Shop Manager or his/her designee. <br /> 2. Specific Responsibilities <br /> a. Coordinate golf play by reservation or through a waiting list to minimize <br /> potential delay to golfers, including pairing up players into foursomes and <br /> sharing golf cart use. <br /> b. Start golfers on time according to reservations and in compliance with the <br /> waiting list. <br /> c. Assign foursomes or less for play, ensuring that there is a green fee and <br /> recorded name on the Starter Sheet for every player on the golf course. <br /> d. Inform each golfer to retain his/her Point-of-Sale cash register receipt <br /> throughout his/her round of golf play as he/she may be asked to show the <br /> receipt to authorized persons. Failure to issue a cash register receipt to a <br /> customer may require disciplinary action. <br /> e. Keep score cards and pencils at the counter and give them to golfers who <br /> request them. <br /> f. Starters shall be well dressed and well groomed at all times. Exhibit C <br /> lists the types of clothing that may be worn. <br /> g. Starters are to know the following: <br /> 1) The types of grass in the tees, fairways and greens. <br /> 2) The maintenance operations and practices of the course. <br /> 3) The characteristics of other public fee courses within 15 miles. <br /> h. Provide fair, helpful and courteous treatment to golf customers at all <br /> times. Communicate pace of play objectives and explain how virtual <br /> player assistant software works to assist all golfers in achievement of a <br /> pleasant golfing experience. <br /> i. Provide courteous answers to customer questions regarding golf rules, <br /> policies, etiquette and other items in compliance with local rules and <br /> United States Golf Association rules. <br /> j. Note all complaints and suggestions concerning a golfer's experience at <br /> the course. Resolve complaints if possible. Otherwise,refer the <br /> complaint to the Pro Shop Manager for resolution. <br /> k. Ensure that the Starter area is clean and tidy. <br /> 8 <br />
