2.3 Weekly Routine Spot Clean Carpet <br /> All carpet is to be kept in a stain-free condition. <br /> 2.4 Weekly Vacuum with Edging Tool—All Corners <br /> All carpet edges and corners where floors and walls intersect,where floor <br /> and thresholds meet or around the bases of any object permanently placed <br /> on a carpeted surface shall be vacuumed with an edging tool. <br /> FLOOR CARE <br /> 2.5 Bi-annual Shampoo Carpet <br /> All carpet shall be surface cleaned with an appropriate solution designed <br /> to work with each type of carpet. Care is to be taken so as not to over- <br /> saturate the carpet. Extraction of these areas will be performed as <br /> necessary. <br /> 2.6 Emergency Spot Cleaning <br /> Contractors shall respond ASAP for any spill which threatens the aesthetic <br /> integrity of the carpet and upholstery as necessary. <br /> 2.7 Sweep/Dust/Mop Floors daily during peak season and as deemed <br /> necessary during non-peak season <br /> All tile, resilient,wood and concrete floors shall be swept with a broom or <br /> dry mopped so as to leave the floor in a dirt and dust free condition. <br /> 2.8 Wet Mop Floors daily during peak season and as deemed necessary during <br /> non-peak season <br /> All tile, resilient,wood and concrete floor surfaces shall be mopped, <br /> cleaned and disinfected. Scuff marks or stains are to be removed. <br /> 2.9 Bi-Annual Machine Scrub Floors <br /> Tile,wood and resilient floors are to be machine scrubbed with an <br /> appropriate pad. Grout shall be cleaned so as to produce a clean, dirt free <br /> appearance. <br /> 2.10 Annual Re-Wax/Buff Tile and Resilient Floors <br /> All tile and resilient floor surfaces shall be top cleaned with an effective <br /> detergent cleaner, neutralized and new wax applied. Floor is then buffed <br /> and/or burnished. <br /> 2.11 Annually Strip, Seal, Wax and Buff Tile and Resilient Floors <br /> All tile and resilient floor surfaces are to be stripped with a liquid stripper <br /> and aggressive pad so as to remove all wax and sealer. The floor then <br /> shall be re-sealed with one coat of sealer followed by three coats of wax. <br /> The floor then shall be buffed or burnished to provide a high gloss. <br /> 2.12 Monthly Clean Baseboards <br /> 2 <br />
