Some callouts indicate Douglas -Fir (DF) while others state <br />only "PT" or "#2". The required materials should be clearly specified. See Section R106.1.1. <br />Where DF, PT or #2 are indicated it is what is required at those locations at a min. The contractor may <br />decide to use stronger lumber where #2 is indicated but not less. <br />7. The project includes preservative -treated (PT) lumber that will be cut. The drawings should include a <br />requirement to coat all cuts, notches, and holes in PT lumber with a treatment complying with AWPA <br />M4.
