The original comment stated that the <br />floor above and interior walls around the proposed project area shall have a minimum 1- <br />hour rated construction. See IBC Section 107.2.1 and Table 508.4. The following <br />comments shall be addressed: <br />a. The Ceiling Plan on Sheet 2-of-2 includes a note specifying 5/8-inch Type X GWB on the <br />floor framing and references the list assembly per GA File No. 5420. This assembly <br />requires a minimum floor sheathing thickness of approximately 1.5 inches thick. The <br />plan states a sheathing thickness of only 0.75 inches. The horizontal assembly shall be <br />revised. A detail for the assembly shall be provided. See IBC Section 711.2.4.1. <br />b. The Ceiling Plan on Sheet 2-of-2 specifies a 1-hour fire rated acoustic ceiling system. A <br />detail for the assembly shall be provided. The detail shall include a listed assembly <br />reference. See IBC Section 711.2.4.1. <br />c. The horizontal membrane systems have penetrations for lighting. Penetrations for <br />electrical, mechanical, and plumbing are also presumed to be required. Details for listed <br />systems shall be provided in the construction drawings for each type of penetration. <br />See IBC Section 714.4. <br />d. Details shall be provided for the 1-hour rated walls. The detail shall include listed <br />assembly references. See IBC Section 707.3.9. <br />e. Continuing with the previous comment, existing walls form part of the 1-hour enclosure <br />for the proposed project area. Details demonstrating that the walls provide the required <br />fire protection shall be included. Walls not provided the required protection shall be <br />modified. <br />f. The rated walls systems have penetrations for electrical service. Penetrations for <br />mechanical and plumbing are also presumed to be required. Details for listed systems <br />shall be provided in the construction drawings for each type of penetration. See IBC <br />Sections 714.3.1 and 714.3.2. <br />Egress: <br />6.
