The following comments shall be <br />addressed: <br />a. A note has been added to Sheet 1-of-2 stating a maximum occupant load of 260. The <br />occupant load shall be limited to 185 per the "Tenant Space Data" schedule for the <br />Table Area. See IBC Section 1004.3. <br />b. The location of the sign should be specified inside the building adjacent to the main exit <br />per IBC Section 1004.3. <br />8. No additional comment. <br />9. This comment has not been addressed. The following comments shall be addressed: <br />a. The exit at the Entry is not readily visible from the General Table Area. An additional <br />exit sign with a directional arrow shall be provided to clearly identify the egress path. <br />The sign shall be provided outside the entrance to the Entry (i.e., between the stairs <br />and the computer area, visible from the General Table Area). See IBC Section 1013. <br />b. The required location for the exit sign at the Entry is not clear. The exit sign should be <br />located or specified to be located inside the building and adjacent to the exit. See IBC <br />Section 1013.1. <br />10. This comment has not been addressed. Means of egress illumination shall be specified per <br />IBC Section 1008.2. The lighting type and locations shall be shown on the plans. The <br />number and distribution of the lighting units shall be sufficient to provide lighting for the <br />required egress paths. The lighting shall require a supply power per IBC Section 1008.3.4. <br />11. This comment has not been addressed. The exterior landing for the Entry door shall be <br />provided with emergency lighting. The construction drawings shall specify a power supply <br />complying with IBC Section 1008.3.4. See IBC Sections 1008.3.2 Item 5 and 1010.1.6. <br />12. This comment has not been completely addressed. The stairway at the northeast corner of <br />the building must provide the second egress due to egress spacing requirements of IBC <br />Section 1007.1.1. A partial plan of the egress path at the First Story should be provided to <br />show the required work. The following comments shall be addressed: <br />a. An exit sign shall be provided over the First Floor exit door per IBC Section 1013.1. <br />b. Interior means of egress illumination shall be provided per IBC Sections 1008.2 and <br />1008.3.4. <br />c. Exterior means of egress illumination shall be provided per IBC Sections 1008.3.2 Item <br />5, and 1008.3.4. <br />d. No additional comment. <br />13. This comment has not been completely addressed. Note 7 under "General Notes" on Sheet <br />1-of-2 has been added requiring Exit signs with raised characters and braille. The locations <br />of the signs shall be shown on the plans. The note should reference ICC A117.1-09 Section <br />703. See IBC Section 1013.4. <br />14. This comment has not been completely addressed. The original comment stated that Door <br />Type C, which provides egress from Hallway 1, includes a lockset per the Door Schedule on <br />Sheet 1-of-2.
