Provide smoke alarms in the Recreation Room and in the Theater. <br />RESPONSE: Provided smoke alarms, sheet A2.1 <br />2. Provide minimum R-10 rigid insulation at headers in exterior walls. <br />RESPONSE: Provided note on sheet A4.1 & A5.1 <br />3. The 'Typical 2 Story Wall Section" on sheet A5.1 shows, " GWB, PAINTED 2ND LEVEL (optional @ <br />Garage). The supporting structure for living space above a garage is required to be covered with <br />minimum'/2" GWB. Please correct note. <br />RESPONSE: Corrected note 1/2" GWB (supporting structure for living space above garage is req'd to be <br />covered w/ min.1/2" GWB) <br />4. The architectural drawings include structural information that duplicates or differs from information <br />provided in the structural drawings. Typical examples include, but are not limited to, the foundation <br />details. A note shall be provided in the General Notes on Sheet A1.1 stating: "The architectural drawings <br />include structural information that is duplicated by the structural drawings. Where discrepancies occur, the <br />structural drawings shall control the structural work to be performed." See IBC Section 107.2.1. <br />RESPONSE: Note added to GENERAL NOTES, sheet A1.1 <br />7. Detail 8/A5.1 is labeled as "Footing Detail (North Side)". Detail references shall be provided in the <br />Foundation Plan on Sheet A4.1 for clarity See IBC Section 107 2.1 <br />RESPONSE: Detail reference shown on A4.1 revised to match S1, per engineer. <br />8. Section 6/S1 shows the typical bearing -only foundation wall. The following comments shall be <br />addressed: <br />a The wall shows a maximum wall height of 4 feet measured from the top -of -wall to top of <br />footing. This height exceeds the limit for foundations not designed to act as retaining wall per IRC Section <br />R404.1.1. Note that the height per this section shall be measured from the base of the footing. <br />RESPONSE: All sections sheet S1 revised by engineer <br />
