11. Section 6/S1 shows an 8-inch deep footing while Section 5/S1 shows an 10-inch deep footing. A <br />detail for the transition between the footings shall be included. Alternatively, the details shall be provided <br />with a consistent footing depth See IBC Sections 107 2 1 1603 1, and 1901.5 Item 3 <br />RESPONSE: Footing depth changed to 12" on sheet S1 <br />13. Section 3/A5.2 specifies that the bottom -of footing is located a minimum of 18 inches below the <br />top of-SOG. However, Section 5/S1 specifies a minimum dimension of only 12 inches, and Section 6/S1 <br />depicts a depth of 12 inches without specifying a minimum dimension. Only deck post footing shown <br />14 The structural plans specify Types SW1 and SW2 shear walls in the schedule on Sheet S1 The <br />locations of the wall types do not appear to be specified in the architectural framing plans. The plans shall <br />be revised. See IBC Section 1603.1. <br />RESPONSE: SW1 and SW2 are shown on sheet A2.1 <br />15. The Shear Wall Schedule on Sheet S1 specifies sill plate anchor bolts for the shear walls. See IBC <br />Section 107.2.1 The following comments shall be addressed: <br />a.. The schedule specifies 12-inch and 5/8 inch anchors for the SW1 and SW2 walls, <br />respectively. Section A/A5.1 and Detail 8/A5.1 specifies only 5/8 inch anchors The <br />requirements shall be clarified and the drawings revised for consistency. <br />b. The schedule specifies the anchor size and spacing, but not the length. The architectural <br />drawings appear to specify anchor size and length, but not the spacing. The designer -of record should <br />verify if additional specifications occur in the drawings.
