placed in a yard or common area for any other purpose than that of sprinkling or irrigation, the Water Department shall discontinue the supply of all water to the premises upon which said water is so used. This rule does not apply to water for building con- struction purposes. Notice shall be given forty-eight hours in advance for tapping the mains. Section 20: Size of Service Pipe. The Superintendent of the Water Department shall determine the size of tap to be inserted into any water main and the size of service pipe under any application or permit. No person or family supplied with water by the City will be permitted to use it for any purpose other than that stated in the application, and shall not in any way supply other persons or families. Section 21: Application for Water Connections. Any person desiring to have premises connected with the water supply system of the City of Everett shall make application to the Water Lepartment on printed forms to be published for that purpose. Every application shall be made by the owner of the property to be benefitted or by his authorized agent, and appli- cants must state fully and truly all the purposes for which the water may be used, and shall agree to comply with all rules and regulations established or that may be established from time to time; and shall further agree, as a condition precedent, that the City of Everett shall have the right at any time, without notice, to shut off or turn on the water supply for repairs, extensions, non-payment of rates or for any other justifiable reason, and that the City shall not be responsible for any damage caused by the breaking, bursting, or collapsing of any boilers, pipes or fix- tures, or by the stoppage or interruption of the water supply, or any damage whatever, resulting directly or indirectly from the shutting off or turning on of water.
