Lori Cummings, Administration, confirmed that the <br /> proposed ordinance would come back next week for second reading. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> Lori Cummings, Administration, thanked council members for their comments <br /> regarding the need for additional pallet shelters. She stated staff recognizes this <br /> as a high priority and plan to bring information back to Council next week. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney David Hall had no comments. <br /> • PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br /> Deb Williams, Council, stated the City received written comments on the proposed <br /> home occupation ordinance from Steve Reeder and Dave Koenig, both of Everett. <br /> Pam Kepford also submitted written comment in favor of a formal <br /> acknowledgement of the indigenous peoples. <br /> Rachel Barnes, Everett, submitted written comments and provided public <br /> comment on public camping on the 2600 block of Rockefeller Avenue. <br /> In response to Ms. Barnes' comments regarding the "no sit, no lie" ordinance, <br /> President Stonecipher suggested it may be helpful to schedule a future briefing <br /> with the City Attorney. <br /> Mayor Franklin stated she would work with City Attorney Hall. The Mayor noted <br /> that the City has designated the area on Rockefeller as an emphasis area, which <br /> will allow the City to respond more quickly to protect residents from criminal <br /> activity. <br /> r <br /> 3 <br />
