• <br /> September 1, 2021 <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Member <br /> Murphy who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> PROPOSED ACTION ITEMS: <br /> COUNCIL BILL 2108-28 <br /> SECOND READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Title 19 (Zoning) regarding Home Occupation <br /> Development regulations, amending Ordinance 3774-20 <br /> Dan Eernissee, Economic Development, provided remarks regarding follow-up <br /> discussion on the gun and ammunition sales, retail sales, and code enforcement. <br /> • <br /> Council Member Roberts stated he would like to see an amendment that would <br /> significantly reduce or eliminate retail sales. He also expressed concern about <br /> increasing density and the effects of parking and employees and recommended a <br /> careful look at the types of uses that may be found on ground floors of higher <br /> density buildings. Council Member Roberts also expressed concern about <br /> enforcement methods. He suggested the action be extended to the end of <br /> September or first of October to allow time to craft amendments. <br /> Council Member Bader stated he is open to limiting retail sales to incidental or by <br /> appointment. He requested additional information regarding the enforcement <br /> aspects and whether a certain number of violations would fall under the nuisance <br /> ordinance. <br /> Council Member Tuohy expressed concern with in-person retail sales and the <br /> resulting impacts created by trucks and delivery, as well as the impacts of retail <br /> gun sales. She stated she would need more time for review. <br /> Council Member Vogeli expressed support for allowing sales of produce.
