The comments below <br /> must be addressed before a permit can be issued. These comments address building issues only. <br /> Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments including Public Works, <br /> Planning, and Fire. Code citations provided in the following comments reference the 2015 <br /> International Residential Code (IRC), 2015 International Building Code (IBC), and the 2015 <br /> Washington State Energy Code (WSEC). <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, the following documentation shall be <br /> submitted to the Building Division for review: <br /> a. Itemized letter addressing the comments provided below. <br /> b. Two complete sets of revised construction drawings. <br /> Submittal documents shall contain sufficient information and detail to review the proposed project <br /> for compliance with the adopted codes. Upon submittal of the revised documents, your application <br /> will be given priority and plan reviews will recommence. <br /> Comments <br /> 1. The south exterior wall is located within the 5-foot fire separation distance (FSD) and is <br /> required to be a one-hour wall per IRC Table R302.1(1). It is noted that the building may be <br /> approved as a non-conforming structure; documentation verifying the status should be <br /> submitted for review. Presuming the non-conforming status is confirmed, Section A/A1.2 <br /> should be revised to specify a minimum 5/8"GWB on the interior face. <br /> 2. Continuing with the previous comment, Section A/A1.2 appears to indicate that the exterior <br /> siding will be replaced. Discussions with the designer-of-record indicate that the building may <br /> not currently have siding. The south exterior wall should provide 1-hour construction from both <br /> sides where the siding is replaced or does not currently exist (i.e., the exterior wall sheathing is <br /> 'age1 of2 <br />
