• <br /> j EVERETT Contract for Services <br /> PUBLIC <br /> SCHOOLS 10-20/21 <br /> THIS CONTRACT#io—20/21("Contract")is entered into by the Everett Public Schools, (the <br /> "District"),and Shannon Affholter Squared(the "Contractor"),whose address is 925 Rucker Ave, <br /> Everett,WA 98201.The District is undertaking certain activities related to the Everett Career Link <br /> program for high school internships and,the District desires to engage the Contractor to provide <br /> Work in connection with such undertakings of the District, <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,in consideration of payments,covenants,and agreements hereinafter <br /> mentioned,to be made and performed by the parties hereto,the parties covenant and do mutually <br /> agree as follows: <br /> I. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br /> The Contractor shall provide all Work described in this Contract,as stated in PART VI.The <br /> documents,each of which are made a part hereof by this reference in following order of <br /> precedence: <br /> 1) Contract Amendment(s) <br /> 2) Contract,which consists of this page,the TERMS AND CONDITIONS,and Certificate(s)of <br /> Insurance and Policy Endorsement <br /> II. OVERVIEW OF EVERETT CAREER LINK PROGRAM <br /> Since the summer of 2019,Everett Public Schools,the City of Everett, and regional <br /> employers have partnered to provide Everett Public School students career connected learning <br /> opportunities through the Everett Career Link program. This unique partnership offers <br /> students the opportunity to "learn before they earn"by showing what it is like to work in a <br /> specific job environment and provides high school credit to students.The Summer <br /> 2021 program will offer the following,options: <br /> • Career Link—Exploration provides students a look at career opportunities in career clusters <br /> that are aligned with their abilities,interests and personalities to formulate academic and careers goals, <br /> while creating a plan for achievement of those goals through high school course and beyond planning. <br /> (Current 8th and 9th Graders) <br /> • Career Link—Mentorship provides students a look at career opportunities in career clusters <br /> that are aligned with their abilities,interests and personalities to formulate academic and careers goals, <br /> while creating a plan for achievement of those goals through high school course and beyond planning. <br /> (Current loth and nth Graders) <br /> • Career Link—Internships serves to link local businesses with emerging local talent for a 9o- <br /> hour summer internship.The program gives students a chance to"learn before they earn"by showing <br /> what it is like to work in a specific job or work environment while earning credit (Current nth <br /> Graders) <br /> Further expansion is planned for school year 2021-22 with the inclusion of a career exploration <br /> program for elementary students called Career Link-Career Up!. <br /> High school internships,mentorships,and career exploratory experiences support the vitality of <br /> the region by providing students with the opportunity to access knowledge of pathways to <br /> fulfilling careers,while at the same time providing employers opportunity to address workforce <br /> needs by working with potential future employees. <br />
