The budget <br />amount for the new unit is $500,000.00. <br />The award price is $488,020.00 which includes a trade-in credit of $50,000.00. The trade-in <br />credit reduces the proposal price from $538,020.00 to $488,020.00. <br />Project summary statement: <br />Public Works Utilities needs to replace its rock crusher. The existing equipment has been in <br />service since 2003 and has reached the end of its service life. The rock crusher is essential for <br />construction debris handling and recycling at the City's storage yard. <br />RFP 2021-020 was released on May 20, 2021. One proposal was received on June 29, 2021. The <br />solicitation notification was emailed to all known suppliers through a national electronic <br />notification, advertised in the Everett Herald and posted on the city's website. Two potential <br />suppliers downloaded the solicitation along with ten plan centers or miscellaneous suppliers. <br />Staff has observed and evaluated the proposed Rock Crusher and found that it meets the needs <br />for the work that will be performed. Staff is recommending award to the only and highest scored <br />and only proposer, Powerscreen of Washington.
