CBRE Heery spoke with Jim Venturo, Assistant Fire <br />Marshal, to obtain additional information regarding this comment. Jim acknowledged that <br />only renovated areas need to be upgraded at this time to the new fire alarm system. Jim <br />also indicated that the County should develop a timeline for upgrading the remaining <br />areas in the existing building. <br />Construction <br />4) If the steel columns in Details 2 & 18 on Sheet A-502 and 12, 14, & 15 on Sheet A-503 <br />are part of the structural frame, they should be shown with individual fire -protection. <br />Response: Detail on sheetA-502 was revised in Addendum No. 2 in response to the original <br />comment (copy attached). Detail 18 on sheet A-502 is not part of the building's structural <br />frame. It is for a screen wall on/above the roof. Details 12 & 13 on sheetA-503 have been <br />revised and issued as ASI No. 1. Detail 15 on sheet A-503 was revised in Addendum No. 2 in <br />response to the original comment. Sheets A-502 & A-503 have had additional "2-HR" notations <br />added to other steel column fireproofing plan details on these sheets. The details have been <br />revised and are attached to this response letter as ASI No. 1. <br />5) If the column on Detail 9 on sheet A-503 is part of the structural frame, the entire column <br />should be wrapped (even within the GWB wall). <br />Response: This detail has been revised to show a complete column wrap and is attached <br />to this response letter as ASI No. 1. <br />6) The fire -resistive listing should be shown on partition Type Non Sheet 1-321(no change <br />from original comment). <br />Response: The UL assembly number was added to partition Type N and was issued as part <br />of Addendum 2, which was to be included with the original response letter. Refer to <br />attached copy. <br />12)Two-hour shaft listingAER-09038 should be included on the plans and referenced on <br />Detail 5/1-417. <br />Response: Detail 511-417 has been revised and is attached to this response letter as ASI <br />No. 1. <br />
