Ll <br />June 28, 2018 <br />Mr. Tony Lee <br />Snohomish County Courthouse Renovation/Addition <br />age3l� <br />Egress <br />2) The maximum occupant load sign for Jury Assembly room 2000 (and other Assembly <br />Occupancies) could not be located on the IG series sheets (no change from original <br />comment). <br />Response: Maximum occupancy sign elevations, details, and messages were shown on <br />revised Sheets IG-201 and IG-202 as part of Addendum No. 2, which was to be included <br />with the original response letter. Refer to attached copy. <br />5) Doors requiring panic devices - no change to door schedule for the doors listed in the <br />original comment. <br />Response: Panic hardware (note #4 "Exit Device" in the Door Schedule Notes and Legend) <br />for these doors have been added to the Door Schedule on*sheets 1-601 & 1-602, and were <br />issued as part of Addendum 2, which was to be included with the original response letter. <br />Refer to attached copy. <br />6) Door 4600B should swing in the direction of travel (no change from original comment). <br />Response: The door swing has been changed as shown on Sheet IF-104, and was issued <br />as part of Addendum 2, which was to be included with the original response letter. Refer to <br />attached copy. <br />8) Updated Braille exit signs could not be found on sheets IG-201 and IG-202 (no change <br />from original comment). <br />Response: The signs were issued as part of Addendum 2, which was to be included <br />with the original response letter. Refer to attached copy. <br />9) Detail 7/L-312 does not appear revised (and spacing not specified). For 3/16" cable <br />spaced at 4" on center with intermediate bars at 4' on center with 1/4" guide holes, the <br />cables need only separate/deflect 1/32" (each over 4') to be out of compliance. It is not <br />clear that the spacing is adequate, with a reasonable amount of deflection, to ensure that <br />a 4" sphere will not pass through. <br />Response: The spacing has been revised and is provided as part of AS/ No. 1. <br />12a) The one -hour construction of the partition (listing/detail) should be identified on <br />the plans (not noted on the floor plans, wall section 3/A3.15 or enlarged stair plans <br />on Sheet 1-410). <br />Response: Since this partition is not rated, a fire -curtain has been added as part of <br />AS/ No. 1. <br />
