Somers, P.E., S.E. <br />Principal <br />Magnusson Klemencic Associates (MKA) has reviewed the comments from the City of Everett Engineering <br />Public Services Department provided in via email dated July 27, 2018, for the Snohomish Justice Center <br />project. <br />We offer the following responses for the permit comments that relate to the structural design scope by <br />MKA: <br />Structure Comment <br />MKA Response <br />10. The size of the weld in Detail 17/S-603 7/16" weld indicated on revised detail. <br />should be specified. <br />11 . The provided response does not appear <br />consistent with the comment. Please review <br />and revise as needed, or clarify the response. <br />Original Comment 1 1 : <br />The locations of the braced frames in Partial Plan <br />74IS-257 appears to be incorrect. The frames <br />appear intended to occur on grid lines per Partial <br />Plan 79/5-257. In addition, the Section 75/S- <br />327 reference appears mislocated. The plan <br />should be revised. See IBC Section 7603. 7. <br />Correct response should have been "See revised <br />plans and elevations". Plan set submitted with <br />original permit comment responses did address <br />the comment. Note that per 4/S-001 the dashed <br />line shown on 15/S-321 represent diagonal <br />braces above the plane of framing shown on plan <br />and are offset symbolically so you can see the <br />lines.
