Asa result, the Everett Police Department is required to remove such weapons from service. These military
style weapons are being replaced with less lethal impact weapons for Patrol operations and SWAT members. This amendment
proposes to increase the Police budget by$9,000 to fund these replacements.
Increase small tools and equipment 031 5400005350 9,000
Decrease ending fund balance 009 5980000490 9,000
w0,
Department Rev Exp FB
GGA-12 Police Amendment-Police Property Container 031A 7,700
GGA-12 General Fund Amendment-Police Property Container 009A (7,700)
This amendment proposes to increase the Police budget by$7,700 for the purchase of one Conex storage container and alarm system
to be placed within the pallet shelter site.
The storage container will provide officers with a more efficient means to process and impound personal property. The property will
be stored in totes within the Conex storage container for safekeeping. Property room standards and protocols must be followed for the
safekeeping of all property, hence the requirement of an alarm. The homeless rarely go to the Property Room to retrieve items, but
with a Conex being at the Pallet Shelter site, they will have greater access, and additionally, our social workers will have another critical
opportunity to provide outreach at the time of property release.
Increase equipment budget 031 5320000350 5,300
Increase other miscellaneous budget 031 5320000494 2,400
Decrease ending fund balance 009 5980000490 7,700
ATTACHMENT A
Tally 2021
