The General Information on Sheet A0.01 includes a section titled "Applicable Codes for New <br /> York". This section shall be revised to reference the city of Everett. The list of codes shall <br /> be reviewed and revised as needed. See the Everett Municipal Code Section 16.005.030 <br /> and IBC Section 107.2.1. <br /> 2. Work on existing buildings shall comply with the IEBC. The IEBC provides three alternative <br /> methods for performing work: the Prescriptive Compliance Method (Section 301.1.1), the <br /> Work Area Method (301.1.2), and the Performance Compliance Method (301.1.3). The <br /> method selected for the project should be specified in the General Information on Sheet <br /> A0.01. A statement should be provided clarifying the types of work that are included in the <br /> project (e.g., repairs, additions, change of occupancy, etc.) and referencing the appropriate <br /> IEBC sections. The comments provided herein presume the project will comply with the <br /> Work Area Method of Chapter 5. Based on a review of the construction drawings, the <br /> proposed project appears to include the following work: Level 2 Alternations (Chapter 8). <br /> Additional and alternative types of work required for the project shall be identified by the <br /> designer-of-record. Additional comments may be pending. See IBC Section 101.4.7, IEBC <br /> Sections 301.1, and 504. <br /> 3. The"Sheet Index"section on Sheet A0.01 indicates the construction drawings includes <br /> Sheet A2.11; the sheet is not included in the submitted drawings. Sheet A2.11 is also <br /> referenced on Sheet A2.01. The drawing shall be submitted for review. See IBC Section <br /> 107.2.1. <br /> Fire Protection: <br /> 4. The"Project Data"section of Sheet A0.01 states that the building does not include a <br /> sprinkler system. Sheet A0.01 shall also indicate if the building includes an existing fire <br /> alarm system. See IBC Section 107.2.1. <br /> Egress: <br /> 5. The Occupancy and Exiting Diagram on Sheet A0.02 shall specify additional exit signs. Exit <br /> signs shall be provided at the following locations: north and south ends of Room 11, Door <br /> 01B, Main Lobby exterior doors, Corridor south of the Main Lobby, hallway outside Interview <br /> Room 06, and the interior and exterior double doors at the south Lobby. Where existing <br /> exit signs occur, these shall be indicated on the plans. Intermediate exit signs shall include <br /> direction arrows where door signs are not readily visible. The lighting, including existing <br /> locations, shall specify a minimum 90-minute uninterrupted supply power per IBC Section <br /> 1013.6.3. See IBC Section 1013.1 and IEBC Section 801.3. <br /> 6. Means of egress illumination shall be provided per IBC Section 1008. The lighting shall <br /> specify a minimum 90-minute uninterrupted supply power per IBC Section 1008.3.4. Where <br /> existing systems occur, they shall be indicated on the plans.
