This section shall be revised to reference the city of Everett. The list of codes shall be reviewed and revised as needed. See the Everett Municipal Code Section 16.005.030 and IBC Section 107.2.1. 2. Work on existing buildings shall comply with the IEBC. The IEBC provides three alternative methods for performing work: the Prescriptive Compliance Method (Section 301.1.1), the Work Area Method (301.1.2), and the Performance Compliance Method (301.1.3). The method selected for the project should be specified in the General Information on Sheet A0.01. A statement should be provided clarifying the types of work that are included in the project (e.g., repairs, additions, change of occupancy, etc.) and referencing the appropriate IEBC sections. The comments provided herein presume the project will comply with the Work Area Method of Chapter 5. Based on a review of the construction drawings, the proposed project appears to include the following work: Level 2 Alternations (Chapter 8). Additional and alternative types of work required for the project shall be identified by the designer-of-record. Additional comments may be pending. See IBC Section 101.4.7, IEBC Sections 301.1, and 504. 3. The"Sheet Index"section on Sheet A0.01 indicates the construction drawings includes Sheet A2.11; the sheet is not included in the submitted drawings. Sheet A2.11 is also referenced on Sheet A2.01. The drawing shall be submitted for review. See IBC Section 107.2.1. Fire Protection: 4. The"Project Data"section of Sheet A0.01 states that the building does not include a sprinkler system. Sheet A0.01 shall also indicate if the building includes an existing fire alarm system. See IBC Section 107.2.1. Egress: 5. The Occupancy and Exiting Diagram on Sheet A0.02 shall specify additional exit signs. Exit signs shall be provided at the following locations: north and south ends of Room 11, Door 01B, Main Lobby exterior doors, Corridor south of the Main Lobby, hallway outside Interview Room 06, and the interior and exterior double doors at the south Lobby. Where existing exit signs occur, these shall be indicated on the plans. Intermediate exit signs shall include direction arrows where door signs are not readily visible. The lighting, including existing locations, shall specify a minimum 90-minute uninterrupted supply power per IBC Section 1013.6.3. See IBC Section 1013.1 and IEBC Section 801.3. 6. Means of egress illumination shall be provided per IBC Section 1008. The lighting shall specify a minimum 90-minute uninterrupted supply power per IBC Section 1008.3.4. Where existing systems occur, they shall be indicated on the plans.
