Elevation 4/A2.2 specifies to relocate an <br />existing exterior door with glazing to this location. The following comments shall be addressed: <br />a. The glazing in the door and adjacent windows shall have safety glazing per IBC Sections <br />2406.4.1 and 2406.4.2. The existing glazing left of the door shall be replaced with safety <br />glazing. <br />b. The door shall have a maximum thermal rating of U=0.6 per WSEC-15 Table C402.4. See <br />WSEC Section C503.1. The note stating "U=0.6 or better" is not clear. The note shall be <br />revised to state "maximum of U=0.6." <br />18. This comment has not been completely addressed. Detail 10/A2.4 has been added in response <br />to the original comment, showing top and bottom interior wall connections. The following <br />comments shall be addressed: <br />a. The required nailing (i.e., number and size) between the top plate and the roof structural <br />framing shall be specified. Specify the nailing between the blocking and trusses. <br />b. The top plate connection shall connect directly to the roof structural framing (Le, trusses <br />and blocking), and shall not connected through the ceiling GWB. The GWB is not required <br />to be continuous provided that the joint between 5/8-inch wall and ceiling GWB is sealed on <br />each side of the wall. <br />c. The type (e.g., adhesive, mechanical, etc.) and embedment of the post -installed anchor <br />bolts shall be specified. The bolt make and model should be specified. The embedment <br />shall be adequate for the required connection and the thickness of the existing slab -on - <br />grade per Section 11/A2.4. <br />Structural <br />1. No comments. <br />This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and <br />amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made <br />during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit <br />requirements.
