Element 9: Control Pollutants (2.1.9) <br />The following pollutants are anticipated to be present on -site: <br />Table 2 — Pollutants <br />Pollutant (and source, if applicable) <br />Sediment <br />If any other contaminants are encountered during construction, the contractor shall notify the <br />owner and city of Everett. Under no circumstances shall surface water from contaminated <br />material be allowed to discharge to the river without approprioate treatment. The contractor <br />shall employ the use of alternate measures such as chemical treatment, or shall dispose of <br />contaminated water and soils in an approprioate facility. <br />List and describe BMPs: Source Control and Runoff Conveyance/Treatment BMP's listed <br />above. Sediment and soils containing recycled asphalt are generally present onsite and will be <br />handled according to the methods stated in the sections above.
