8. Provide construction drawings for the proposed stairs. Including but not limited to stringer size and <br />quantity, footing size and depth, post to footing connection, post to beam connection, guard <br />construction, handrail size and location, tread depth, riser height etc. <br />Response — Stairs deleted from the project. <br />9. Provide minimum 36 inch landing, measured in the direction of travel, at the bottom of the new <br />sta i rs. <br />Response — Stairs deleted from the project. <br />10. Specify post/beam, post/footing and joist to ledger connectors at all mechanical connections. <br />Response: The Connectors are shown on 1 /SK-1, detail 4/S-2, detail 6/S-2 <br />11. Show all components of the typical wall in the Wall Section Detail on sheet A-07. The detail should <br />include the structure below it, including the foundation. The TJI rafters appear to be shown with a <br />birds mouth cut at the point of bearing. The bird blocking shown appears to prevent the movement <br />of air required for ventilation. The floor does not show a rim joist, joists or the finished ceiling <br />surface. <br />Response: Please see revised detail 1/SK-1, detail 1/S-2, detail 6/S-2. <br />12. Provide roof ventilation calculations. Specify size and location of all roof ventilation required. <br />Provide minimum 1-inch clear space over insulation for circulation of air required for ventilation. <br />Show requirement on plans. <br />Response: Please see additional notes on detail plan 3 of S-1. <br />13. Specify length of roof overhang. Projections located in the five foot side yard setback are required to <br />be protected on the underside with one -hour fire -resistance rated construction. <br />Response: Roof overhand is 2' and is outside of the 5' yard setback. There is 9' between the existing footprint and the property line. <br />14. Sheet A-07 calls out 5/8" Roof Plywood Sheathing, Sheet S-1 calls out %" APA Plywood Roof <br />Sheathing. <br />Response: Please see revised note on detail plan 3 of s-1. The metal roofing specifications ask for 5/8" sheathing so it was changed <br />from %" to 5/8" plywood. <br />The Roof Level plan calls out 8d at 6" Edge and 8d at field nailing, the "Important foundation and <br />framing notes call out 8d at 6" nailing at edges and 8d at 8" at field. Please clarify. <br />Response: Please see revised note on S-1 showing 8d at 12" field nailing. <br />In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division <br />with two new sets of revised construction documents reflecting the corrections requested.
