Mr. George Arway <br />{ Plan Check Number: B2101-058, First Building Review <br />February 4, 2021 <br />shows a maximum height of 4'-6" measured from the top of the foundation, which is buried by <br />8 inches of soil. The drawings should consistently show the maximum height. The structural <br />calculations should be revised as needed. See Sections R106.1.1 and R301.1.3. <br />4. Details 2/S1.0 and 2/S3.0 provide conflicting "gable/shearwall" connections. See Section <br />R106.1.1. The following comments should be addressed: <br />b. Detail 2/S-1.0 shows cantilevering roof sheathing without support. This is not structurally <br />adequate and the detail should be removed. <br />c:. Detail 2/S-3,0 provides a flatwise 2x4 supporting the sheathing. The detail should include <br />an appropriate connection at the backspan end that is compatible with the framing <br />orientation and provides the minimum required resistance. S , AITkce(E�) C. The construction drawings should include a note requiring the prefabricated roof trusses to be <br />reviewed by the engineer -of -record and verified to comply with the structural design. The <br />drawings should not be submitted to the City. See Section R802.10.1. <br />6. Note 3 in the "Framing Lumber" section on Sheet S-1.0 states to provide nailing per IBC Table <br />2304.9.1.
