Revenues will vary given on development activity in any given <br />year. Staff estimated that the full fee proposed in this ordinance (i.e. after the phase -in <br />period is complete) would've generated about $3.45 million in new revenue for parks <br />facilities. <br />Project summary statement: <br />Consistent with Growth Management Act (GMA) requirements, the city processes <br />proposed amendments to the comprehensive plan once per year, and batches the <br />proposals into an annual docket of amendments for council consideration (see EMC <br />15.02.700). <br />There are three ordinances in this year's batch of comprehensive plan amendments: <br />a. Parks planning and parks impact fees (this ordinance) <br />b. Amending the future land use map and maximum building height map for Smith <br />Island <br />c. Amending future land use map and zoning map for 7500 Hardeson Rd <br />See the attached staff report for more information. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Adopt an ORDINANCE Relating to planning for parks, amending Ordinances 3543-17 and <br />3543-17 as part of the 2021 annual docket of comprehensive plan amendments; adding <br />a new Chapter 19.53 EMC establishing a park impact fee; and amending Ordinance <br />3774-20. <br />
