October 27, 2021 <br /> Lie" Ordinance to allow for other discrete areas for that to be apply and requesting <br /> a status update. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Deputy Mayor Nick Harper gave an Administrative update on the American Rescue <br /> Plan Act (ARPA).The Council ARPA Workshop is scheduled for November 17, 2021. <br /> Staff are exploring initiatives for Council consideration, with a focus on projects <br /> that: expand childcare and early learning services, train displaced workers and <br /> business owners, support hard-hit businesses and organization and connect and <br /> service South Everett's businesses. <br /> He stated staff are also exploring initiatives for Council considerations. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney David Hall requested a 10-minute executive session regarding one <br /> labor matter pursuant to RCW 42.30.140(4) with no announcement to follow. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> 1. Deb Williams stated the Council received written comments from Debra <br /> Papenthien regarding questions on medical/religious exemption options in lieu of <br /> termination and if there will be testing as part of the employment agreements. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member Bader, to <br /> approve the following consent items: <br /> RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No. 7707 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in <br /> the amount of$1,338,888.75 for the period of October 9, 2021 through October <br /> 15, 2021. <br /> 4 <br />
