I will prepare a violation citation for the junk and garbage in the yard and for the structure being altered —sometime in the past —without required permits. I will plan on meeting you there at 3 p.m. on Monday Dec 9—to inspect the basement as we discussed. Please keep me informed of the cleanup progress. My review of the City records indicates the basement was built in 1964 and the residential structure was moved from another property and placed upon the new basement structure. There are no records to indicate the basement was ever lawfully converted to living space nor for the creation of an Additional Dwelling Unit. Please take steps seeking to vacate the basement by January 1, 2020. Thanks for your efforts and I will plan to see you next Monday.
