The exterior of the building should be insulated to provide a thermal envelop complying with the 2015 <br /> WSEC. The thermal rating (i.e., Rmin, Umax) should be specified for each component of the building <br /> (e.g., walls, windows). Prescriptive values should be specified per WSEC Tables R402.1.1 or R402.1.3. <br /> The envelop should include the footings, below-grade walls, and slabs-on-grade. Alternatively, the <br /> thermal envelop may be designed per the Total UA method of WSEC Section R402.1.4; calculations <br /> substantiating the design should be included in the submittal documents. <br /> RE: Did change in A102 -2 Wall Section & Submitted Addition & submitted extra document <br /> Remodel Worksheet Results from WA State University excel file for WA State Code 2015 <br /> h. The building should be designed to comply with the additional energy efficiency requirements of WSEC <br /> Section R406.
