I have marked the permit okay for intake and routing
however, please be advised of the following:
1. Aerials for the site seem to show the carport as attached to the SFR however the site plan and elevation details
identify the structure as detached. Even for affiliated projects,we require a separate building permit file(and
applicable documents) per structure. Processing of a new, detached carport will require its own separate
application and copies of the applicable plans meeting the minimum checklist requirements. Please submit a
new application and 2 sets of applicable plans for the carport at your earliest convenience.
2. Because we need to process a separate permit application/file for the carport, the scope of work for C2010-004
will be the proposed interior remodel of the SFR only. This means the estimated contract price of work provided
for this permit should only account for the cost of the interior work and exclude any estimated fees for the
carport. Estimated fees for the carport should be identified on the new separate carport application. Please let
the Permit Technicians know the revised cost of work as soon as possible; I have cc'd them for your
convenience.
For Planning, I do not have any concerns regarding the interior SFR work proposed however I will not sign off officially
on this permit until I've seen that the separate carport permit has at least been submitted.
The residential construction submittal checklist is available online and includes the minimum residential site plan
checklist and building height handout. The interim permit intake/resubmittal policy is available via the "website &online
resources" link in my signature. If you have any Planning related questions, please contact me directly via email.
These comments are only related to the land use code and do not account for all possible requirements from other
departments.
