I think these should be easy fixes
and am assuming they're likely just a placement issue with the software used.
All comments/corrections are based on Page 2, site plan, of the plan set:
• There is a white rectangle identified in the landscape area. On prior plans for this project that rectangle was
indicated as a placeholder for where the freestanding sign was likely to go.The new detail/call-out provided for
the freestanding sign area still shows that rectangle but also has an aerial view of the proposed freestanding
sign—please clarify/revise.
• The aerial view of the freestanding sign shows it placed in the sidewalk area which is prohibited. The sign can't
encroach upon the required sidewalk, even if the sidewalk extends beyond the right of way into the subject
property. A landscape protective island is also required per EMC 19.36.050.A.3 and as noted on my prior
correction memo. Please revise.
• All setbacks should be measured to the edge of the sign, not just the base as appears to be shown for the
interior setback. The 3'front setback requirement should be shown from the back of the sidewalk, not the
property line. Please revise.
• Note: The aerial view seems to indicate the sign as parallel to Evergreen Way which is permitted, though most
freestanding signs are proposed perpendicular for higher vehicular visibility. I thought it was worth mentioning in
case it was unintentionally identified this way on the plan.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding these corrections/comments and I'm happy to help.
Thanks,
Kelsey Heyd
ElAssociate Planner I Community, Planning& Economic Development
425.257.7275 13200 Cedar Street 2nd Fl., Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
Note:Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to
the Public Records Act.
From: Dan<dangettemy@gmail.com>
Sent: Wednesday,September 25, 2019 10:03 AM
To: Kelsey Heyd <KHeyd@everettwa.gov>
Subject: BK-EVERETT,WA_G.pdf
Kelsey
Here you go thanks
1
