In addition, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's Priority Habitats and
Species map identifies the following species and habitat occurrence in or near the
Project area(WDFW 2020):
• Odd-year pink salmon (Oncorhynchusgorbuscha)
• Winter steelhead(O. mykiss)
• Fall Chinook salmon (O. tshawytscha)
• Fall chum salmon (O. keta)
• Dolly Varden/bull trout(Salvelinus malma/S. confluentus)
• Little brown bat(Myotislucifugus)
• Yuma myotis(M.yumanensis)
It should be noted that the existing drainage ditches are not documented as fish-
bearing features. The fish species listed in this section occur in the Snohomish River
and associated floodplain and cannot access the ditches due to the Marshland Flood
Control District pump station. Some resident fish could survive in the ditches aftera
flood; however, it is unlikely that they would be present near the property, and no
anadromous fish can access the property. As it is possible that non-listed fish could be
present in the ditches, discussions with the Washington Department of Fish and
Wildlife will occur as part of the permitting process, and if necessary,a fish rescue plan
will be developed for the work.
b. List any threatened and endangered species known to be on or near the site.
There are no known listed or endangered species on or near the site.
The following Endangered Species Act-listed species may potentially occur in or near the
Project area but are unlikely due to unsuitable habitat:
• Chinook salmon
• Steelhead
• Bull trout
• Marbled murrelet(Brachyramphus mamioratus)
• Yellow-billed cuckoo(Coccyzus americanus)
• Streaked horned lark(Eremophila alpestris strigata)
• Oregon spotted frog(Rana pretiosa)
• North American wolverine(Gulo gulo luscus)
• Gray wolf(Canis lupus)
The Endangered Species Act-listed fish species listed in this section occur in the
Snohomish River and associated floodplain and cannot access the ditches due to the
Marshland Flood Control District pump station. Therefore,it is unlikely that they would
be present near the property.
c. Is the site part of a migration route? If so,explain.
The Project property is located within the Pacific Flyway for migratory waterfowl. No
other migration routes are known to occur on the site.
d. Proposed measures to preserve or enhance wildlife, if any:
The Project will adhere to applicable regulatory requirements related to the preservation of
wildlife as applicable.
e. List any invasive animal species known to be on or near the site.
There are no invasive animal species known to be on or near the property.
10
