There is a 10%matching requirement($7,510),which will be covered by the department's existing budget. The total of
$82,610 will be used to purchase 165 firehose nozzles, which will improve the capability of fire crews to engage fires effectively and
put them out as quickly as possible. The current inventory of firehose nozzles is not consistent between units and requires more
maintenance. They also require more water pressure, which makes them harder to handle and of greater risk for injury to the
firefighters.
Increase grant revenue 002 75,100
Increase equipment budget 032 75,100
Department Code Rev Exp FB
GGA-27 Fire COVID-19 vaccination efforts 032A 9,750
GGA-27 General Fund COVID-19 vaccination efforts 002A 9,750
The Fire department participated heavily in the COVID-19 mass vaccination sites throughout Snohomish County in the first half of
2021. This amendment increases the department's labor budget by the balance of
$9,750. The department expects to be reimbursed by the Washington State Department of Health for these costs.
Increase intergovernmental revenue 002 3339703132 9,750
Increase labor budget 032 5201000120 9,750
Department Code Rev Exp FB
GGA-28 Fire Wildland fire assistance 032A 162,590
GGA-28 General Fund Wildland fire assistance 002A 162,590
This amendment proposes to increase the Fire Department's budget to acknowledge services provided to outside agencies for
wildland fire assistance across our state and in California.
