(Donation to Fund 151) <br />Project summary statement: <br />Greg R. Stewart was a former City of Everett resident and animal lover, having adopted <br />his beloved cat from the Everett Animal Shelter in 2009. Mr. Stewart recently passed <br />away and bequeathed $22,042.82 to the Everett Animal Shelter. <br />The Fund for Animals (Fund 151) is a cumulative reserve fund that benefits the animals. <br />This generous donation to the Fund for Animals will help pay for veterinary care and <br />other services to directly help animals at the Everett Animal Shelter. <br />All gifts to the city in excess of $10,000 must be approved by city council. Pursuant to <br />EMC 2.105.020(B) the Mayor is authorized to conditionally accept this gift and council <br />shall, by motion, approve or reject the mayor's acceptance. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Approve the Mayor's acceptance of a $22,042.82 bequest from the estate of Mr. Greg R. <br />Stewart for the Fund for the Animals (Fund 151). <br />
