• <br /> December 15, 2021 <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin congratulated Sharon Fuller, City Clerk, on her upcoming <br /> retirement. She also reminded citizens that the Holidays at The Gipson Center <br /> event will be held at the VOA Carl Gipson Center on Saturday and Sunday, <br /> December 18-19, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for age 50 and over, and open to <br /> everyone from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. She added that Council Member Bader will make <br /> an appearance as Santa. Mayor Franklin noted that under the Administration <br /> Update, staff would address Council Member Murphy's questions relating to <br /> Clare's Place. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Bader introduced and read into the record the following <br /> proposed resolution. He thanked Administration and City Attorney David Hall for <br /> drafting the resolution in response to a request from him and Council Member <br /> Murphy. • <br /> RESOLUTION — POTENTIAL COMMUNITY IMPACTS OF EMERGENCY <br /> SHELTER AND/OR TEMPORARY HOUSING FACILITY <br /> Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member Murphy, to <br /> adopt Resolution No. 7723 concerning Potential Community Impacts of an <br /> Emergency Shelter and/or Temporary Housing Facility. <br /> Council Members thanked Council Members Bader and Murphy for bringing <br /> forward a well-structured resolution that provides reassurance to residents and a <br /> means for information to come back to the Council from Snohomish County. <br /> Mayor Franklin stated she appreciate the willingness of Council Members Bader <br /> and Murphy to work with Administration to make sure this is something positive <br /> and allows Administration to bring information back to Council should issues arise <br /> in the future. She stated the goal would be to work with Snohomish County to <br /> ensure there is a tight management plan that will provide positive impacts on the <br /> community. <br /> • <br /> 2 <br />
