Please review and respond to the comments below. <br /> 1. Provide details and/or section drawings for the construction of the vaulted ceilings in the <br /> Kitchen/Eating Area and the Living Room including the attachment of the rafters to the new hip <br /> beam in the living room. <br /> 2. Specify the size,species and grade of the new hip beam at the vaulted Living Room. <br /> 3. Identify the load path,to the foundation,for all new loading conditions created by vaulting the <br /> ceiling in the Kitchen and the ceiling in the Living Room. <br /> 4. The Ledger Details on sheet 1 show the floor joists as"I-joists". Please correct. <br /> 5. Specify the size,species and grade for all new headers installed at the new window locations, <br /> including but not limited to the Kitchen, Dining room, and the Master Bathroom. <br /> 6. Show the size and location of all existing, new and/or replaced windows on the floor plan. Label <br /> each window as"Existing", "Existing, Replaced"or"New". <br /> 7. Show all interior partitions, doors, plumbing and mechanical components,appliances and stairs and <br /> label all spaces for the intended use with a unique label,such as Bedroom#2, Bedroom#3 etc. <br /> 8. Include all porches and landings at the exterior of the building on the corresponding floor plans. <br /> 9. Revise application to include all new or replaced plumbing fixtures and mechanical equipment. <br /> 10. Provide section drawing of new infill walls at garage. Show all components including size and spacing <br /> of studs, pressure treated bottom plates and double top plates. <br /> 11. Show how the new vaulted areas of the ceiling/roof are provided with ventilation. <br /> 12. Specify the insulation installed in the new vaulted areas, minimum R-38 required with minimum 1" <br /> clear air space over insulation. <br /> 13. Provide gravity calculations for the new hip beam and rafters at the vaulted ceiling in the living <br /> room,the vaulted rafters at the Kitchen ceiling and for the new pressure treated beam supporting <br /> the new deck. <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
