0 111
Drew Martin
From: Drew Martin
Sent: Wednesday,June 2,2021 3:34 PM
To: ivan.kocherov@gmail.com
Subject: City of Everett Permit Services:9305 3rd Place SE(BW2105-001) - First Building Intake
Review
Attachments: City of Everett- Residential Drawing Preparation.pdf;2018 IRC_Typical Code
References 04-12-2021.docx
Hello Mr. Kocherov,
Your application has been received and a permit set up. However, the submitted documents are not sufficient
for us to perform a review at this time. Construction-level documents need to be submitted for
review. Information is attached to provide guidance. Preliminary comments are provided below to assist in
preparing the drawings, but these are not intended to provide a comprehensive review. Depending on your
experience with the model codes and preparing documents,we recommend consulting with a design
professional to assist you.
1. The submitted documents represent sketches of the proposed work. Construction-level documents
should be prepared and submitted for review. The drawings should clearly show the proposed work,
delineating between existing and new construction. See the attached documents for more
information.
2. The building appears to include additional unpermitted work at the bedroom in the northwest corner
of the building. The bedroom was originally a carport. It appears to have been infilled and converted
to a bedroom around 1981; the conversion of the space with a permit cannot be verified. At a
minimum, the room should be insulated per the code requirements and provided with smoke/CO
alarms and an emergency egress opening.
Review of your project will be performed in the order received once the required documentation has been
submitted. Please let me know if you have questions.
Drew Martin, P.E.,S.E.
Li
Associate Engineer—Commercial Plans Examiner I Permit Services
425.257.8813 13200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT Hours: M/W/Th/F: 7:30am-12:OOpm & 1:OOpm-3:OOpm;Tu: 1:OOpm-3:OOpm
everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
COVID-19 Update: Please reference our website& online resources for updates to our service during the
COVID-19 pandemic.
