CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> material, Onsite sampling and subsequent analysis will be done by the City or its <br /> designated agent. <br /> 1 3. Screening to 3-inch minus material and separating inert debris. Handling and stockpiling <br /> inert debris separate from the suspected contaminated fill material. <br /> 4. Temporarily stockpiling the identified materials in the pre-approved stockpile location <br /> including: <br /> a. Clearing and preparation of the stockpile area <br /> b. Grading the stockpile site, including grading and channeling as needed to prevent <br /> ' stormwater from flowing into or draining from the stockpile(s). <br /> c. Providing a subgrade separation fabric or approved floor material between the <br /> stockpiled material and the native soils on the stockpile floor. <br /> ' d. Temporary fencing the stockpiled material to limit or restrict access <br /> e. Covering and protection of the stockpiles from wind or water transport. <br /> f. Cleanup of the stockpile once the stockpiles are removed. <br /> 5. Loading, hauling and disposing (including landfill fees) of material to the pre-approved <br /> site that is licensed to accept the material. Special / Industrial Waste will be paid based <br /> on a density of 1.6 tons/cubic yard. <br /> ' The Contract bid item quantity listed for this item is to provide a Common Proposal for Bidders. <br /> In accordance with Section 1-04.6, no cost adjustments will be made for any variation in the <br /> bid item quantities. <br /> Bid Item 14 - Hazardous Waste Disposal <br /> Measurement and Payment: Force Account (FA) <br /> This Force Account bid item shall be accomplished in accordance with 1-09.6 FORCE ACCOUNT; <br /> except, as modified below. The amount indicated in the Proposal for this bid item is to provide a <br /> common bid amount. The actual amount paid under this bid item may vary from no payment to <br /> the full amount of the bid item. Work performed under this bid item will be initiated with a work <br /> directive issued by the Engineer. <br /> ' Encountering Hazardous or dangerous waste is not anticipated on this site. Should suspected <br /> material be encountered and classified by the City's designated environmental agent, this item is <br /> to address work required to separate, stockpile for testing and characterization, handling, loading, <br /> hauling and legal disposal at a landfill licensed to accept this material. This item includes: <br /> 1. The project is located within managed cleanup sites. This work includes cooperation with the <br /> City provided Environmental Monitor and work necessary to facilitate soil and groundwater <br /> monitoring, provide required dust management and control measures and to comply with the <br /> POE-NT Soil and Groundwater Management Plans, environmental regulations, and in <br /> accordance with the project health and safety plan. Copies of the POE-NT referenced <br /> ' documents are provided in Appendix A <br /> 2. Coordination with the City's designated environmental agent to isolate suspected hazardous <br /> materials and during testing to characterize the material, Onsite sampling and subsequent <br /> ' analysis will be done by the City or its designated agent. <br /> 3. Handling and stockpiling inert debris from the suspected hazardous waste material. <br /> 4. Temporarily stockpiling the identified materials in the pre-approved stockpile location <br /> including: <br /> a.
