Special industrial waste, and hazardous waste are provided for under their respective bid <br /> items and are not a part of this work. , <br /> 8. Work required to avoid unexpected or unforeseen obstacles shall be paid for under the <br /> Force Account item. <br /> The Contract bid item quantity listed for this item is to provide a Common Proposal for Bidders. In <br /> accordance with Section 1-04.6, no cost adjustments will be made for any variation in the bid item <br /> quantities. <br /> Bid Item 11 - Replace Unsuitable Pipe Foundation Material <br /> Measurement and Payment: Ton (TON) , <br /> Measurements shall meet the requirements of 1-09.2. Unit price per ton for all costs associated <br /> with testing and submittals required prior to delivery to the Project, furnishing, preparation, placing, <br /> and compacting imported pipe backfill for replacement of excavated unsuitable pipe foundation <br /> areas as directed by the Engineer. <br /> The Contract bid item quantity listed for this item is to provide a Common Proposal for Bidders. In <br /> accordance with Section 1-04.6, no cost adjustments will be made for any variation in the bid item <br /> quantities. <br /> Bid Item 13 - Special Industrial Waste f <br /> Measurement and payment: Ton (TON) <br /> Measurements shall meet the requirements of 1-09.2. Unit price per ton for all costs associated <br /> with handling, loading, haul, and legal disposal at an approved, licensed landfill. This item <br /> includes material consisting of contaminated fill and debris that does not designate as dangerous <br /> or hazardous waste, but contains one or more contaminants at concentrations exceeding the <br /> cleanup levels or contaminate levels that require it to be sent to a landfill approved to accept <br /> such materials. Onsite sampling and subsequent analysis will be done by the City or its <br /> designated agent. This item also includes: <br /> 1. The project is located within managed cleanup sites. This work includes cooperation with <br /> the City provided Environmental Monitor and work necessary to facilitate soil and <br /> groundwater monitoring, provide required dust management and control measures and to <br /> comply with the POE-NT Soil and Groundwater Management Plans, environmental <br /> regulations, and in accordance with the project HASP. Copies of the POE-NT referenced <br /> documents are provided in Appendix A <br /> 2. Coordination with the City's designated environmental agent to isolate suspected <br /> contaminated materials and during testing (provided by the City) to characterize the <br /> I <br /> POE Combined Sewer Main Imp.
