CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> the full amount of the bid item. Work performed under this bid item will be initiated with a work <br /> directive issued by the Engineer. <br /> 1. Erosion/Water Pollution Control, Force Account, shall constitute full compensation for all labor, <br /> materials, tools and equipment necessary and incidental for the installation, maintenance and <br /> removal of the temporary erosion and sedimentation control (TESC) facilities to prevent <br /> pollution, erosion, siltation, and damage to any wetland, stream, other watercourse, or <br /> surrounding property throughout the life of the Contract. TESC facilities shall include, but not <br /> be limited to, any cover measures, runoff control measures, soil and site stabilization <br /> measures, silt fence, high visibility fencing, street cleaning and sweeping, stabilized <br /> construction entrance, tire wash, wattles, and inlet protection measures for the work area and <br /> downstream areas. <br /> 2. The TESC measures shall limit the erosion possibility by covering disturbed soils, preventing <br /> sloughing or raveling of cut and natural slopes, and controlling surface runoff from flowing into <br /> excavations using measures such as curbs, berms, dikes, rock-lined ditches, silt fence, and <br /> high visibility fence and other approved measures. <br /> 3. Covering stockpiled material will be paid for under the "Structure Excavation and Stockpiling, <br /> Incl. Haul" and "Special Industrial Waste" bid items and are not a part of this work. <br /> 4. This item does not include the cost of erosion/water pollution control measures that are <br /> included in other bid items. <br /> Bid Item 29 - Chain Link Fence—6 Ft. Tall , <br /> Measurement and Payment: Linear Foot (LF) <br /> Measurement shall be per linear foot along the fence line. The bid item includes full payment for <br /> removal and disposal of the existing fence.
