CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> I <br /> ' DIVISION 1 —GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> Supplement Division 1 by adding the following: <br /> GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION OF THE PROJECT <br /> (******) <br /> Work being performed includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials and equipment <br /> necessary to construct approximately 2,270 linear feet of 42-inch combined sewer force main and <br /> 2,300 linear feet of 12-inch combined sewer force main and other such appurtenances, including <br /> trench excavation, haul, stockpiling and disposal, preparation of a project Health and Safety Plan <br /> with related submittals, and performing all Work as required by the Contract, in accordance with <br /> the Contract Documents. <br /> The Project is in Everett, Washington, and is generally located within a utility easement on Port of <br /> Everett property, Port of Everett Norton Terminal. This Project is located within the Port of Everett <br /> property and construction crosses portions of the Kimberly-Clark Worldwide MTCA Site and the <br /> ExxonMobil/ADC MTCA site, which are listed on the Washington State Department of Ecology's <br /> (ECY) Confirmed and Suspected Contaminated Sites List. Work on this project is subject to the <br /> Port of Everett site Soil and Groundwater Management Plans and the Temporary Construction <br /> License Agreement between the City of Everett and Port of Everett, which is provided in Appendix <br /> D. The Temporary Construction License Agreement is referred to as the "City-Port Agreement." <br /> The Contractor must be thoroughly familiar with and comply at all times with the City-Port <br /> Agreement. For example, the City-Port Agreement allows the Work on the Port of Everett <br /> property only in a defined License Area, and the City-Port Agreement expires on the City- <br /> Port Agreement Expiration Date (as defined in Section 1-01.3). The Contractor must <br /> complete all Work on Port of Everett property and achieve interim completion (as defined <br /> in Section 1-01.3) no later than the City-Port Agreement Expiration Date. Failure to achieve <br /> interim completion by that date may trigger Contractor payments to the City up to $10,000 <br /> per calendar day, as described in Section 1-08.9(1). <br /> Design Engineer <br /> (******) <br /> Questions and inquiries about these Contract Documents should be directed in writing to the <br /> attention of Souheil Nasr, Utilities Engineering Manager, snasr@everettwa.gov <br /> Standard Specifications <br /> (******) <br /> All Work under this Contract shall be performed in accordance with the following Specifications <br /> except as may be exempted or modified by other sections of these Contract Documents.
