Here is a summary of my observations and actions. The house has been gutted,Wall finishes and fixtures removed. Because of this the structure is Unfit for Human Occupancy as per IPMC 108.1.1 The Structure is Unlawful as per 108.1.4 The current Owner Steve DeJaen has"agreed to have PUD disconnect Electrical Services to the structure (at the pole) By 11-08-2019" The Owner stated that he intends to continue to clean the site of offending debris and to re-sell the property"as is". He is likely at the permit counter now-seeking a Repair Permit for the cleanup being done to the house. He let me know—he believes the house has been altered—including the plumbing without permits—his plan was to help the last owner by buying the house—then cleaning it up enough for Sale as is—in the coming month of two.
