1.2 Proposed Construction Activities
Description of site development (example: subdivision):
The project proposes 2,690 linear feet of 10 feet wide asphalt concrete shared use path with
associated landscape improvements.
Description of construction activities (example: site preparation, demolition, excavation):
Construction will consist of clearing, grubbing, site grading and paving.
Description of site drainage including flow from and onto adjacent properties. Must be consistent
with Site Map in Appendix A:
The site currently drains toward the Snohomish River though a series of low points along the
shoreline. This project maintains those low points and mimics the natural discharge locations.
Some localized areas have been cleared by construction projects on adjacent properties. These
areas are tributary to the site and during larger rainfall events this runoff will follow its existing
path over the trail on its way out to the Snohomish River.
Description of final stabilization (example: extent of revegetation, paving, landscaping):
The project proposes 2,690 linear feet of 10 feet wide asphalt concrete shared use path with
associated landscape improvements. The landscaping elements are in conformance with the
1999 Conceptual Buffer Enhancement Plan, Riverside Industrial Park by Talasaea Consultants
and shoreline environmental requirements described in the January 2018 Draft Riverside
Business Park Public Access Trails Biological and Floodplain Assessment by Hart Crowser
(Biological and Floodplain Assessment). Existing surfaces to receive plantings will either be
tested and shown to support healthy plant growth or be amended.
Contaminated Site Information:
Proposed activities regarding contaminated soils or groundwater (example: on -site treatment
system, authorized sanitary sewer discharge):
Previously remediated arsenic -affected soils are located at the north end of the site. These
contaminated soils are not anticipated to be affected by this project. See the Independent Clean
Up Action Report prepared by Landau Associates in Appendix F for more information.
Page 15
